At Christmas, Tivoli has a Christmas market, lights, Father Christmas's house and an ice rink, and according to gogoevents.dk the rides operate throughout Christmas. The season ends with New Year's fireworks on 31 December, and the garden is open until and including 3 January 2027. The daily opening hours during the Christmas season can be found on tivoli.dk.
Because it gets dark from around 4 pm in December, you do not need to wait until late evening to see the lights. The ticket to Christmas in Tivoli grants entrance, but according to the ad’s own important information, rides are not included, even though the content list mentions a Ride Pass. Book nowWhat is the best time of day to visit Tivoli?
Feel free to arrive at opening time if you want to go on many rides, and stay until the evening for the lights. Queues are often shorter early on, but this can vary from day to day.
There is no guarantee of short queues, but many find that the first hours after opening are quieter at the major rides than in the afternoon. If you have a ticket with entrance and Ride Pass, you get the most out of it by starting early. Weekdays outside school holidays can also be quieter than weekends.

- Evening: the lights over the lake and the paths are a big part of Tivoli’s atmosphere; in summer they come on late, in winter early.
